i like this color! it’s more of a natural black which was fine. there was more than enough in the tub and i still have a little bit left over! the only thing is it stains EVERYTHING and is super hard to clean. i hope its staying power translates to my hair!

A Surprisingly natural looking Black

I definitely recommend this if you want a very rich, deep, dimensional shade of black but you want it to look more natural. Considering it has blue/purple undertones, I was surprised at how it came out looking so natural. I used a box dye many years ago that was black with blue undertones and it never looked natural like this. I've washed it once and I can tell two things already: it's going to stick for a good amount of time and when it does start to fade, it will most likely fade to a brownish shade, which is a positive for me as I tend to be lazy with touch ups. My hair texture is straight to wavy and fine, about elbow length, and I only needed half of a 4 oz tub to do half my hair (I did a split dye), so the dye goes a long way. If your hair is long and thick and you're doing your whole head I would say you probably need one - two 4 oz tubs. Also it's highly pigmented so it will stain your skin more than expected. I've been coloring my hair for a very long time with various brands and I've never used a dye so pigmented, so be prepared with whatever methods you normally use to clean up your skin after it's all done (I find Vaseline and a loofa helps).

I always buy this when I wanna do black and red to take a break from red for a bit.

Can't wait to try a new color from you guys. I know I'll love it already.
